Introduction

In our Biodiversity Inventory and Monitoring Toolbox you'll find information about methods to inventory and monitor populations of species and the environments they live in.

Highlights

Inventory is a one-off survey or assessment with no intention to re-measure. Monitoring assesses change or trends by re-measuring the same variables over time.

Modules in the Toolbox describe inventory and monitoring methods for different species. Comparative tables and decision trees in each module will help you choose the most appropriate method(s) for your study.
